Midwestern Higher Education Compact.
Notes from the MHEC Summit this week in Chicago:
- Sites to look at and share:
- A state come up with a lovely metaphor for AI: AI is like sex education. They (students) are probably going to do it anyway, so we should inform them of the facts and give them comprehensive knowledge around it.
- When I told the Ohio crew about how faculty don't necessarily want to attend any OER workshops I give because "that's Sybil and her hippie shit," the librarian from BGSU said, "That's a book title." So, stay tuned for that... maybe it'll be OER, maybe not.
- I need to review all the data I've collected with my Exit Tickets regarding what students think about OER; perhaps an infographic could come about from it.
- I promised our crew I would make surveys to use in the NDUS to retrieve students' perceptions of OER - do they know what it is and do they care? The other survey - what faculty are using OER and if so, please list your course and the resource so we can create a list of who's using what where. Boom!
- TBD.
