A Possible Future Female Dr. Priebe?

So, those who follow me on the facepage might've seen that I was recently accepted into the doctoral program for Educational Leadership at MSUM. Yeah, pretty cool huh? All of my nerdy-ness may actually pay off in some wild way?! Cool beans.

I just started one of the electives I'll need to make my program complete: ED 753 College Student Development. The textbook will arrive at my door tomorrow, yet after watching a few of the required/optional videos, I've noticed that many theories surrounding student development overlap with my perspectives due to ungrading and OER. Inclusivity, student voice, metacognition, ... creating an ecosystem of reflection and support. Perhaps this program will place terms and theories on things I've already had floating around in this big noggin of mine?

Plus, I may have already drafted a research project for this course - what are the lived experiences of staff who are dealing with faculty who use all sorts of assessment methods in the classroom? When I was a different grader (in my opinion, a harsher one), how did that affect when staff spoke with my students about my classes? I assume they have had an easier time now telling my students to hand in late work and/or to come and visit with me. Does my/the "happy teachers, happy students" mantra leak into student affairs and staff? It would be very interesting to interview that crew and look through their lens at ungrading.

Ideas, ideas, ideas.

And, yes, I've already pondered the use of multi-genre in my dissertation. Videos, interviews, my journal entires, presentations, memes,... I have so much to dig into.
