English 110 - Week 5.

In English 110 (Monday/Tuesday), I recorded a "how to" guide/video for completing Group 1. Students can access it through Blackboard (via the Blackboard Collaborate tab) or by emailing me for the public link. On Wednesday, we will dive into Large Project 1; I will go over how to start this project - I may cover how to find images or how to cite sources, etc. 
  • Students were reminded to fill out the self-assessment quizzes after completing all of Group Zero's activities. If they did not complete Step #2 of the Feedback Bootcamp, they need to do so before awarding themselves points for that activity.
I think we might have to push back the LP1 deadline a week and have them "due" October 11/12 instead... {I just updated the tabs in Blackboard and the schedule to reflect this change.}

In English 110 today (Wed/Thurs), I attempted to go through a worksheet that showed off the step-by-step process for putting together LP1 as well as how to find images and cite sources. I say "attempted" because I fumbled through my words in the 11am class and then the WiFi didn't work in the 1pm class in order for me to show them how Flickr gives you the author, title of image, date, etc. UGH. I told the students that hopefully it would be working next week, so I could show them those image sites and how they work. Here's hoping I can finally do everything I wanted to do today in my 8am hybrid tomorrow morning.
